i felt it was my DUTY to address this situation. i have been referred to as "Barbie" since 06. really. before Nicki Minaj. at one point, me & my BFFs were going to get matching tattoos. hers was to say "VI Beauty" & mine was to say "VI Barbie". i remember my ex saying "it sounds too conceited".. so i want EVERYONE to kill that Nicki talk. i'll give it to her, she did start a movement though. everywhere i turn bitches biting her shit. i bet some ppl don't even know what "harajuku" means. & some of these females look like "barbies" from the dollar store. man, somebody need to check credentials. some of ya'll lowering the property value on the whole thing...

as ya'll know, i am a soldier in the United States Army. i really had to gather my thoughts before i touched on this.. 13 dead?! 31 injured?! my ♥ broke when i heard about this. soldiers should NEVER experience this at the hand of a fellow service member. this tragic event hit home for me:

1. because my husband is stationed there (he's currently deployed though)
2. i was supposed to be stationed there but the paperwork wasnt done in time.
3. i got married there.

what really ANNOYS the fckn piss outta me though is that all the ppl that are analyzing & giving opinions about the situation and talking shit about soldiers have:

1. have NEVER had post traumatic stress disorder (ptsd).
2. have never deployed.
3. never served in the military

what THEE fck can you tell me (& the rest of America for that matter) about something you know NOTHING about. how can you sit here and talk shit about the ppl who risk there lives to make sure your country stays free?! how can you blame the actions of 1 sickly screwed up person on the ENTIRE military?! My condolensences to the families of the victims. Noone should ever have to experience that. your supposed to be able to trust/depend on your fellow soldiers to bring you home safely. To see someone with soo much rank & time in service do something that selfish & stupid hurts.. i hope he dies a SLOW & PAiNFUL death.

Love vs Respect

So, i've been reading this book by Dr Emerson Eggerichs. its called "Love & Respect" and it shares alot of insight into what it takes to make a marriage work. basically it talks about a females basic need for love and a males basic need for respect. It talks about the "Crazy Cycle":

And so it goes, over and over. It identifies ways that a husband and wife should react to each other. It talks about how husbands should show their wives "unconditional love" while their wives simultaneously show "unconditional respect". It also brings the logical point that husbands do not have to "earn respect". It should be given to them. How would wives feel if their husbands told them they had to "earn love"?! It also goes into the "Energizing Cycle":

I could type for ages about this book, but if your really intent on trying to enlighten yourself, hit up AMAZON, purchase the book and read it. not only that, APPLY IT. its worth a shot. I mean, there is nothing to lose but sooo much you could gain..
