CRWNHVY: Fashionable Energy

Energy is everything. If you’ve been following CrownHeavy LC since our inception in 2015, you'll see growth. Not only in variety, but in quality. At first, we were trying to make a fashion splash, but we’ve now switched our attention to energy. We selling vibes. We didn’t want to just sell T-shirt’s with a cool design or pretty bracelets with zirconium studded crowns; too many have caught on to that play. We had to head back to the drawing board and draw up new plays.

We decided to put the brand on various other garments (socks, shoes) to add another layer. The products needed to stand out a bit. We traded the nickel crowns for stainless steel laser etched charms with the infamous CRWNHVY logo. We got rid of the dyed and painted beads and copped Genuine AAA grade gemstone beads. Our name has weight and the difference in quality tipped the scales..

One of our favorite pieces to makes is the Black Onyx bracelets. Black Onyx is a soothing stone, good for wearing during times of emotional turmoil. It helps to release negativity, as well as guard the wearer from the 'evil eye'. It aids in releasing negative emotions (sorrow, grief) and in return brings good fortune. Onyx is also known to help one recognize their personal strength which helps in eliminating anxiety and boosts the wearers' confidence.

Didn't we say we were blessing the masses with vibes?! Another product we plan to roll out later in 2019 is our Orgonite Pyramids. You can see these pyramids in almost all the promotional images for our bracelets. The pyramids are not only amazing props for our bracelets, but they also help convert negative energy into positive. These pyramids contain various metals and natural crystals that are strengthened and condensed using resin.

These pyramids can be placed near your WiFi router, kept on your night stand as a mount for your cell phone or even kept under the bed to help with their (clears throat) “adult activities” (wink wink). I know a lot of ganja man who keep a few pyramids strategically placed in their grow rooms to help their plants grow in a cleansed environment. We are in the business of selling energy and we made it fashionable.

Crown Heavy is a brand that we plan to take to higher levels. We are constantly researching and developing in order to continue advancing. As we continue to take steps forward, we will branch out into other avenues, but for now, make sure to visit the website www.crownheavylc.com and help support a grassroots movement out of Kingshill, St. Croix.

R e f r e s h

Can you believe its 2019! OMG. Seriously. June of this year will be my blog's 10 Year Anniversary and I honestly can't believe I've stuck with it this long. We are only twenty days into the new year but it already been a whirlwind  for me. I ended 2018 back home in the Virgin Islands with my family. My brother was in an almost fatal wreck and had to be flown off the island for surgery. I was able to go home and be with my family during that trying time. Two weeks prior to that, Jerm and I went on his first cruise. And less than a week ago I had refractive surgery to correct the vision in my right eye.

Although we've literally been all over the place in the last month I've tried to consistently document our journeys. In the end, even if Jerm decides that he'd like to do something else, he'll always be able to look back on the memories we've documented together. If you havent already, please take a moment to subscribe to his Youtube channel. For ease, I've posted his last two videos below:

2018 was all over the place for me. I'm hoping to bring more focus into 2019.

Pumpkin Spice Lizano

I've said before that one of the not so great things about the Army (or the military in General) is that it brings awesome people into your life, and then rips them away just when you start to mesh. In the short time that I knew Jaimie she's had such an amazing impact on my life. SHE INTRODUCED ME TO PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES FOR CRYING OUT LOUD! She's an awesome soldier and a good person, and I wish her the best as she continues on to her next assignment.

Wishing her and her family safe travels. ♥️

Zulu Cut Crease Visual

Just wanted to show you guys a visual of a look I did this weekend for the beautiful Tyiekia. Unfortunately, I didn't record the entire application. I need a better set up before I can. The space I use isn't really designed for it, as I would be standing in the light. I'll figure something out shortly, though. Hope you guys like it!

D i r t y T h i r t y !

Dress: Pretty Little Thing • Pumps: Christian Louboutin
Milestones are sometimes scary. They remind us of those things we said we'd do, but never really quite got around too. Those things that sometimes can make you feel inadequate, especially when compared to the likes of your peers. This, for me, was NOT that. I sat back and exhaled a sigh of relief; on September 28 I turned 30 years old.

Hair: Outre Synthetic Lace Front Wig - Amara
Earlier this month I was almost broken. My car was burglarized yet again and my identity was stolen. I had almost put my entire birthday on the back burner. My priority at the moment was regaining control of the situation and safeguarding whatever else I could in regards to being violated. I was able to replace the stolen items fairly quickly and that definitely helped to ease my mind. Having such an amazing support system also helped tremendously. I was reminded that things are just that: things. I pray we never forget that.

Top & Shorts: TJ Maxx • Sandals: Design
I was able to spend this birthday surrounded by genuine love. There were so many people that played a role in ensuring I felt nothing but appreciation and affection all the way to my core and for that, I am eternally grateful. You all made this special for me. Thank you a thousand times.

Your peace is yours; do with it as you please..

Glen

Hard Work is Easy Work

This weekend Jerm's team, the Killeen Trojans, played their first regular season game. Hard work truly pays off! The boys have been conditioning since about April and it definitely showed. They showed up and showed out beating their opponents, the Killeen Cowboys, 28-0. Jeremy played safety and he loved being on the field. I'm super proud of him and can not wait to watch him develop into the football player he is meant to be. His coaches and teammates have affectionately named him J-Dawg and this year we wear the number 28 with pride.

I have the best son. You'll never be able to change my mind.

The Best Parts..

Sometimes you have to force it. You have to fight the urge to lay in bed for days on end and make yourself get up. At times, that break from reality may be what you need, but there comes a time when you have to be real with yourself and realize that too much of a good thing becomes a bad thing. Revisiting the things that brought you joy previously can at times help you overcome whatever you are going through at the moment. Don't allow that weight to sit on your chest forever. Use these last few months of  2018 to further define the person you are meant to be.

Glen

Besitos

Lately, I  have been working so much that I barely have the energy to give you guys the posts you deserve. As I write this I am on a 24-hour shift that will end at 6am. To say I am tired would be an understatement! I have pulled these photos from Saturday's Snapchat story in hopes that they hold you over until next time. In the meantime, leave me comments on what kind of posts you guys would like to see in the future!

Besos,

Glen

L O V E H A P P Y

Lately, I've been doing personal audits on the people I have around me. It's refreshing to have people around who genuinely want the best for you, even when you don't know what that is for yourself. Yesterday, I casually told one of my girlfriends to remind me to blog today, so she texts me a picture of the reminder she set on her phone, lol!

For this look, I used the Juvia's Place The Zulu Eyeshadow Palette. At the time, Jeremy's dad and little sister were visiting so I thought it would be fun to let the kids choose the colors for the look. I think they did a pretty good job. In the end, we were left with a bold, colorful look. For foundation, I used the Sephora foundation [in Deep 65] with their concealers [#19 and #20] to highlight and contour and this blingtastic highlight is Rose Gold by BECCA. To finish the look, I lined my lips with MAC's Nightmoth liner and topped them with Physicians Formula liquid lipstick in the shade Nut-rituos.

Have you been doing subtle or bold looks this season?
Comment below, I'd love to know!
In the meantime, stay fab dolls!

Glen

Modern Day Mona Lisa

Over the past few months, Vera of Brown Hippie Chick and I have been burning up Painting with a Twist. The atmosphere is ingratiating and for $35 you're able to leave with a tangible creation. It's always a fun experience when we attend. We love making a "thing" of it and to date, we've always enjoyed our time.

This go-round the theme was "Finesse" inspired by the Bruno Mars/Cardi B hit single. The instructors are always so knowledgeable and patient with you. On this particular night, the studio was filled with novice and experienced painters alike and together we all had a blast. #BlackGirlMagic was all through the air and we can't wait to go back.

What kind of things do you guys enjoy?!
V and I may be in the market for more funtivities, lol.
Stay gorgeous, you guys.

Glen

Light Beams..

Dress: Missquided • Heels: Lola Shoetique

Recently my beautiful friend Samaantha (who you may remember from this guest post) implored me to wear more yellow. Afer thinking about it, I realized that MANY of my closest friends had made very similar requests. I decided to explore it and I must say I've been enjoying it! At the moment it mirrors how I feel inside: happy and full of life.

Crop Top + Distressed Jeans: Marshall's

There is no real way to decribe how alive I currently feel. My pride and joy just turned 7 and is still doing exceptionally well in school. My close friends and family are thriving and I could not be more happy for them. Happiness may truly be contagious and keeping the right people in close proximity absolutely will nourish your soul.

Dress: ASOS • Sandals: Design

What drives you?! What keeps you going?!
I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!
Until next time, stay fab.

Horse Shoes & Hand Grenades..

Summer is Close! We are finally starting to see some semblance of Spring here in Central Texas! This week, there's been a slight chill in the morning but it always seems to disappear by mid-day. Jerm and I decided to take advantage of the warmth and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! If you know Jerm, you know he eats, sleeps and breathes football so that thing is always glued to his hands.

Even if you have to force it, sometimes it just takes you getting up, dressing up and getting out there to ensure that you enjoy life.  Live your best lives, loves.

Glen

Crowned.

Now that the initial move is complete I'm going to attempt to bring some normalcy back into my life. It was a seemingly smooth transition and we're excited to start this new chapter. Once we're all unpacked I hope to be able to give you guys a tour of our new home as well! This week I recorded a new makeup video, but due to some technical difficulties, I'll have to try again at a later time. Thank you all for being so patient with me as I take this one day at a time.

Cherry Blossoms in the Winter

I ended 2017 saying I wanted to do more. I needed my outlet back, and after a bunch of unfortunate events, I decided that there was no better time than now to start. As you can see from my last 2 blog posts I've been making YouTube videos! I definitely want to put it out there: I AM NOT A MAKEUP ARTIST! Honestly, I don't even want to be one. I just like makeup and I enjoy doing it, so I decided to start filming it. Three weeks ago I had no idea how to edit a video, and now I've kind of gotten the hang of it. To say I'm proud of myself would be such an understatement. I'm just trying to enjoy this clear space in my head. I've included this weeks video below, as well as the video details after the cut.

Thanks for sticking it out with me this long.
